Pickett State Park is located seven miles from the cabins and
offers wonderful hiking trails, tennis, canoing and boating on
their 12 acre lake, fishing, swimming and Ranger activities for

Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area has over
125,000 acres and is located seven miles away. It offers hiking,
mountain biking, swimming, whitewater rafting and a museum.

Our county, Fentress, has more rock formations than any other

A horse rental concession is located two miles from the cabins.

Rafting, canoing, tubing, climbing wall, geocaching and wagon
rides are available 45 minutes away at Kentucky Rafting.
Big South Fork Scenic Railway is located in Stearns, Kentucky
and is a nice day trip. Big South Fork Scenic Railway. You
could combine this with the Barthel Coal Camp visit. Barthel
Coal Camp is also located near Stearns and offers tours of the

A short drive north of Jamestown is Pall Mall, TN, home of Sgt.
Alvin C. York, WWI hero. There is also a grist mill on the Wolf
River and several small stores here. Sgt. York
Rugby, TN, founded in 1880 by the second sons of the English,
is a historic site with tours offered daily. English food is offered
at Harrow Road Cafe. This is a short drive. Rugby
Colditz Cove State Natural Area is located nearby and is
characterized by high bluffs, rugged gorges, lush rhododendron,

Eight golf courses are located in Crossville, TN which is an hour

Muddy Pond Mennonite Community is located a little over half
an hour from the cabins. Relive the past in this Mennonite
community. The general store and mercantile store offer home-
canned and fresh baked goods, pottery, handcrafted items and
quilts. The wood working shop offers handcrafted furniture and
leather goods. Late Sept. and early Oct., the community makes

well as a list of two hour trips and day trips.
Fentress County has 17,000 residents and Jamestown is the
County Seat and largest town. Besides Sgt. Alvin C. York, we
are famous for starting the 127 Yard Sale which is now 650 miles
